Although in theory a 2nd hub should work, we would advise against this as (depending on port loading) the 2nd hub might not have enough bandwidth assigned to function properly. Adding a 2nd hub to our Multiport hub could lead to power issues on and connectivity instability and result in our hub being disconnected from the connected device. It is not recommended to daisychain hubs to our Multiport hubs.
LINQ Multiport hubs do not support Apple Superdrive
No, we would advise against using a splitter or additional converters with our hub. In general it is not recommended to connect splitters to Type-C hubs as hubs are working on limited bandwidth. Splitters should always be connected directly to a port on your computer.
Yes, it is perfectly normal for the hub to heat up during usage. Higher data speeds and/or 60Hz video output contribute to higher operating temperatures. Please note, even when the hub is not in use it could still warm up, this is also normal.
For an optimal fit we recommend connecting the Multiport MacBook hub to your MacBook without the case as thicker cases might not allow proper connection as the 2 Type-C connectors require a certain insertion depth for to function correctly. Please note that the power LED on the Multiport Hub will illuminate when it has been inserted correctly.
As troubleshooting we like to recommend to firstly disconnect the hub from your MacBook and disconnect everything from the hub. Then firstly connect the hub to your. MacBook. This 'reboot' of the hub should normally solve connectivity issues.

If connectivity issues are persistent, resetting your Mac System Management Controller (SMC) and/or the Mac PRAM/NVRAM could be a solution. This is sometimes necessary to restore normal lower level system functionality to your Mac, especially with power and hardware related issues .

For resetting your SMC and/or PRAM/NVRAM we like to refer to Apple website for detailed instructions depending if your model has T2 or not.

If you are experiencing any HDMI display, Ethernet or USB connectivity issues, please follow the steps below

#1: Completely shut down the computer.
#2: Disconnect all devices from the Multiport hub, and disconnect the hub from your device.
#3 Connect the USB-C power adapter directly to your device to ensure there is enough power.
#4: Switch on your device on using the power button. When your device is restarted, the Multiport hub can be reconnected and other devices can be plugged in. Connectivity should be restored as normal.
